Basement Finishing

Family rooms, guest suites, gyms and offices — the square footage you already own.

A finished basement is often the most affordable way to add living space. We turn damp, dark storage into warm, dry rooms your family will actually use.

Every basement starts with moisture control and good light. From there it can be a media room, a guest suite with a bath, a home gym, a playroom or all of the above.

  • Family rooms, media rooms and bars

Questions

Common questions about basement projects

Don’t see yours? Ask us or call (555) 555-0147.

Our basement gets damp. Can it still be finished?

Usually, yes. We find where the moisture comes from and fix it first — drainage, sealing or a sump system — before a single wall goes up.

Can a basement room count as a bedroom?

It can when it meets code, which usually means an egress window, proper ceiling height and a smoke alarm. We design for that from the start.

Do low ceilings or ductwork rule out finishing?

Rarely. Soffits, careful duct rerouting and the right lighting can make a lower level feel open and comfortable.
